It’s my favourite time of the month again- bullet journal time!
Unlike some people, I like to lay out my bullet journal for the entire month just before it starts. This is because it means that I will definitely never be behind if I have a busy week- all I need to do is fill in my mood tracker, habit tracker and diary entry each day without worrying whether or not I have everything laid out already. This method creates for a very stress-free month of bullet journaling and makes it very flexible as to how many additional pages I do in my journal each month.
If you’re not familiar with the basics of bullet journaling, I have a very detailed post on it here, but if you are, keep reading!
This month, I decided to share with you guys my theme and my set-up because it was one that I had so much fun doing! I went for (kind of inevitably) and orangey-yellowy colour scheme in the form of… CANDY CORN!!! For some reason, I’ve always found October to be one of the hardest months to design, although I have no idea why, but this month’s theme was super awesome!
For the title page, I went for a pretty simple but bold title in the middle of the page, surrounded by lots of candy corn pieces. Simple, right?
Next to my title page, I have my monthly overview- for this, I did some candy corn coloured stripes and wrote the dates over this. This page is as colourful but less patterned than the title page, so I think it works quite nicely next to it to contrast it.

On the next double spread is my mood tracker and my habit tracker.
I had a hard time deciding what to do for the mood tracker, but in the end, I went with a Halloween inspired spiders web with a little spider hanging off it. I will colour in one segment of the web each day.
Then, because this double page will end up pretty full of colour at the end of the month, I decided to keep my habit tracker simple and do a pretty basic, landscape-oriented table with the habits down the left and the day and date along the top. As each day comes along I will mark off each category I succeeded in with an orange dot. I did add a few pieces of candy corn along the bottom though- just to add a little more colour.

Finally, the weekly spreads! Now, I’m running out of space in my bullet journal, but I didn’t want to start a new one this close to the end of the year, so in or der to fit the last three months in, I’ve decided to put my weekly spreads each onto a single page instead of a full double spread like I used to do. So I spent some time thinking about different ways I could maximise the space, and I settled on this pretty simple grid one. It’s definitely not my cutest ever spread but I think it worked pretty well- given the circumstances!

October is a pretty awkward month because it has 5 weeks which means that because I’m using a double spread per two weeks, I had one page left over after my final weekly spread. I thought this called for a cute little quote: ‘pumpkin wishes and candy corn kisses’!

As I said, I’m running low on pages, so I decided to leave it there for this month, but I hope you guys enjoyed seeing what I’ve done! Let me know what theme you chose for October!
Happy bullet journaling!

Love it.
