Friends, I’m back! After taking a rather spontaneous and unplanned break from blogging and social media as school suddenly got super busy, I have finally returned to blogging!
I’ve been gone the best part of a month, and oh my stars, it’s June now! My, we have a lot of catching up to do! I’ll go first and give you a little life update, but it’s my favourite thing to hear what you have been up to, so make sure to update me on what’s been going on with you in the comments below!!
Wow, where to start? I’ve been so busy recently but finally school has finished and it’s officially summer! End of school preparations and celebrations were so busy- they started with having to resit a ton of English assessments in the LAST WEEK but finished with a BBQ with all of my sweet friends and classmates which was a precious way to end the year.
It’s been a week since school got out now and the weather has been absolutely glorious- all sun and no showers! Start of summer celebrations with friends have been so fun too… picnics, shopping trips, walks, hanging with the family and tons more- all in the first week!
Oh, and I though y’all might like a little update on my babies (my sunflowers… for anyone wondering). They’re doing so well, I finally planted them outdoors this past week and it makes me so happy to see they bright green leaves soaking up the sun like their lives depend on it (which they kinda do actually…)

My blogging break has been jam packed with busyness, but it wasn’t all fun and rainbows. In fact, that’s something I wanted to remind you of, sweet friend. On social media and in the blogging world, people tend only to show the parts of their life that they’re most comfortable in or that are most enviable. I think it’s super important to remember this always so that we don’t get caught up looking at the ‘perfectness’ or ‘prettiness’ of other peoples lives when 100% of the time this isn’t the only side to their life.
So yes, whilst part of my blogging break was because I have been so busy, another part was because I wasn’t feeling as inspired to write as I normally do, or as confident that I could be writing from a spiritually secure place either. I was in a little bit of a ‘blip’ shall we say. So many days I put things like spending time in the Word further down my priority list, and that left me feeling wobbly.
I think it’s important for me to share things like this with you guys just to remind you that what’s presented online isn’t always the whole truth. And just like the name of my blog says, I’m human… you’re human… we’re all human and that makes us definitely NOT SO PERFECT!
So, that brings me to the end of my little life update, but tell me sweet friend, how has your May been? What have you been up to? What have the highs and the lows of your past few weeks been? And most importantly, how can be I praying for you as we head into this new month?
So now, a little blog update!
I may not have been active on the blog recently, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been on my mind! I’ve been coming up with a bunch of ideas for the next month or two including a brand new series!! (You’ll have to stay tuned for that though…)
Often, I write whatever is on my heart but I also want to write for you guys and write what you want to read. So another thing I’d love is for you to drop any post suggestions down below… anything you’d love to read or any ideas you have for me!
Friend, that’s about it for now, but let’s chat in the comments! You don’t know how happy I am to be back and I’m so pumped to hear from you! Have the sweetest day, friend!

Hi Megan. Glad to hear you are back and congratulations on finishing your exams. Yes, you are correct, we can sometimes get caught up with so much and that can potentially make us miss out on those important moments of fellowshiping with the Father and feeding on His word. You are loved by God x

Hey Megan, happy summer and welcome back! The youthfulness of your blog and many of your followers is really refreshing to me. I would love to see a post, and subsequent discussion, on ways we older, been-around-the-block-so-to-speak bloggers can be a meaningful encouragement to you. What do your hearts need? What manner of connection do you enjoy? What ways are we missing the target? It is not easy to be an outspoken Christian young person today, I imagine. And this world needs you so much! How can I/we help to fill your sails?

Thank you sweet friend! I’m so glad that you enjoy my blog!
Haha, yes, it can be tough sometimes being a young christian in this day and age- personally i appreciate so much when ‘older’ women pour into my life in different ways. I would say the greatest thing you can do is pray pray pray for strength and wisdom and soft hearts for girls and women my age. But encouragement on social media and blogs is so helpful too- things like words of advice and wisdom and teachable anecdotes from your own experience. Things like that really do make the world of difference and make us feel supported and encouraged! Also mini devotional type things on, say, instagram, are brilliantly bite sized but meaningful too! I’ll think about doing a post to expand on this a bit more but I love your heart for girls and women of my age! 💛

Hey Megan! It’s great to have you back! It sounds like you’ve had a great start to summer. As for post ideas I’d love to see how you study the Bible or learn from God’s Word and your favorite ways to connect with God, whether it be through prayer, music, reading His Word, etc.
I love your new profile pic! So cute!! ❤
