Heyo, happy Wednesday, friends!
How are you doing? What’s new with you?
I’ve been keeping very busy recently; I’ve had lots going on with school, I’ve been babysitting and working a lot and I feel like I’ve had lots of little extra things on too… lots of seeing friends, lots of rushing here, there and everywhere and lots of essays to write, haha! But I like being busy, so I’ve been well!
I don’t know what the weather is like where you are, but I’m definitely enjoying the season more than I expected to; there’s no denying it- autumn can never compete with summer but I’ve been loving crunching through the freshly fallen leaves and watching the golden sun thaw the frostbitten grass each morning.
As for currently in my life, I’ve just finished reading Anne Frank’s Diary which I found so moving; I think it’s difficult to say you enjoyed a book that carries as much weight as this particular one does, but I did find it very captivating- I could hardly put it down at points. If you haven’t read it, I would definitely recommend it simply because it gives such a real and heart-breaking insight into what is possibly the most horrific event in history. In English, they teach us about dramatic irony, when the reader knows something the writer doesn’t, and I think that’s what I found most horrid about reading this book… the fact that I knew the brutality of the ending before Anne ever had any idea. So moving- one of those books I can’t imagine ever forgetting.
Other current faves… I’m working my way through Dawson’s Creek on Netflix, just about to start season four. And what can I say… I. LOVE. I’ve been listening to lots of folky/country music to put me in the mood for autumn… according to Spotify, some of my current most played songs are UFO by The National Parks, Rainbow by Kasey Musgraves, Homecoming Queen by Kelsea Ballerini (Ballerini album version OF COURSE) and Wildfires by Taylor Hudson. And of course… the whole of Red (Taylor’s Version), espeically All Too Well (10 Minute Version) which I am literally listening to as I’m writing this. No words. I’ve been making the transition from iced coffee to hot coffee for the winter and I popped down to Starbucks the other week when they released their Christmas drinks for a cheeky gingerbread latte (too early for Christmas drinks? I think not!) I also had an iced white mocha the other day but with an extra shot and only two pumps of white mocha, and one of peppermint… so good and so Christmassy! As for fave foods at the moment, I’ve been loving pumpkin bread; I made a delicious loaf with chocolate chips and a splash of orange juice as the secret ingredient. So good!
That’s about all going on in my life at the moment… but let’s chat down in the comments, what have you been up to lately? What’s going on in your life and what are your current favourites?
Like I said, that’s mostly everything that’s been happening with me BUT that’s not the actual reason for this post. Another thing I’ve been doing recently is a lot of blog content planning (like, I-went-to-Starbucks-and-had-two-coffees a LOT!!) because something so fun is happening in exactly 26 days from now! (Any guesses…) BLOGMAS IS STARTING!! AND I’M TAKING PART!!!
Cue the party poppers and the balloons!! Friend, I don’t know about you but I am SO excited about this… I mean, blog content EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR AN ENTIRE 12 DAYS, what in the world (well, the blogging world, at least) could be better?! My point exactly!
For any of you feeling a bit lost (that was me a year ago, don’t worry), blogmas is a made-up word in the blogging community that comes from the words ‘blog’ and ‘Christmas’ and it’s basically where you post a ton coming up to Christmas… some people post every single day in December, others just every day leading up to Christmas, or others (like me) just do the 12 days leading up to Christmas. I’ll be doing a combination of faith, lifestyle and seasonal posts, so stay tuned!!
So, this is the part where I need your help! I’m keeping most of the Blogmas content a secret (because who doesn’t love secrets?!) but one thing I will tell you is that somewhere in there I’m doing a Q+A and I would LOVE your questions to answer! So if you have any questions about me/faith/life/the blog DROP ‘EM in the comments below and I’ll try and answer them in my post in a few weeks!
I think that’s just about all, friend, but I can’t wait to get this blogmas party started, and I hope you’re as excited as I am!

AHHHHH! I am so beyond excited to read everything you put out for blogmas! You are one of my favorite writers and I cant wait to see what all you come up with! I really want to partake in blogmas but I’ve never done it before and I have no idea where to start….
And as for hows life been, We just moved into our new forever house and I’m absolutely in love! I got my room all set up (there may be a tour coming pretty soon 😉 And for current favorites… I got a new prayer journal from coffee and bible time and I’ve been so enjoying that! Ahhh Allie reading this made my day… you are SO sweet and it honestly makes me so happy knowing that people enjoy what I write! I’m so excited that you’re looking forward to blogmas as much as I am… eeek it’s gonna be a fun one!! Oh my gosh I am so excited to see all my blogger friends’ blogmases… to start with I just did a massive brain dump of everything I could think of to write about and then went content planning from there etc… so if you’re thinking about it maybe starting there would be good?
