(BLOGMAS DAY 2)
Can you believe,I’m over a year into this little blog ministry of mine and I’ve never done a Q&A!? Well, that’s all about to change because, with it being the first time doing blogmas, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity!
I saw a few blogger friends do posts similar to this a while back and I thought it was such a brilliant way to get to know a bit more about them and their blogs, so I thought, ‘hey, why not do one here too!?’
So here we are, blogmas day 2: A Not So Perfect Q&A!

Q: What is your favourite dessert?
A: In the summer, ice cream (especially moose tracks, with peanut butter cups on top) or frozen yoghurt, but in the winter I really like pie… pumpkin is my favourite but we usually have apple!
Q: Who has impacted your faith the most?
A: I think people like my mom and grandma who serve others so selflessly and are so humble and love God so well.
Q: Do you think God uses the emotions of very emotional people for good? If so, how?
I would say yes… emotions are God given, and there are several instances in the Bible where Jesus shows emotion. We need to acknowldege that God can use emotions to guide us, for example how we feel when looking at a situation might guide us as to what to do about it, like on some occasions when Jesus felt compassion (e.g Matthew 9:36) and goes on to do something about it, like teaching or healing. But at the same time we need to be careful not to be led solely by our emotions but also through the Holy Spirt and the Word; if we feel our emotions leading us to do something contradicatary to what the Bible says then it’s probably not what God wants us to do!!
Q: What is your favourite classical hymn?
A: Amazing Grace.

Q: Favourite place to buy sweaters?
Hmm Hollister and H&M… only because we don’t have Target or Old Navy in the UK otherwise I think those two would do it… all my favourite clothes are from those two places!! I also tried to get into thrifting but I don’t know if I was just doing it wrong, but I’ll always seemed to be pretty unsuccessful considering the amount of time I was spending. Maybe I’ll have to try again though.
Q: Do you write in a journal – if so, why?
A: I have a prayer journal but I use it for lots of things like sermon notes, gratitude lists, worship journaling etc. I use it to write things down when I’m feeling distracted because it helps me focus a bit better.
Q: Has any piece of art ever inspired you to change your life in a certain way?
A: If we’re counting music as art then maybe yes. Sometimes listening to worship music can be such a gentle but good reminder that I need to refocus my life on Jesus and that I need to make every part of my day to day an act of worship to Him.
Q: What is one thing that inspires you to post?
A: The sky haha. If you’ve been around here for any amount of time you’ll probably have noticed the multitude of sunset picture featuring in my posts, and I think worshipping Jesus and looking at the sky is what inspires a lot of my more faith based posts. But if I don’t feel inspired I’ll just post something ‘fluffy’ like lifestyle content.

Q: Do you like to draw?
A: Yes, but not so much with pencils and things. I love doing hand lettering, especially with markers, and I also love to watercolour things like wreaths and other florals.
Q: What is your favourite song (not a Christmas song!)?
A: Agh this is such a hard one because I feel like it’s constantly changing haha. My music taste probably lies somewhere at the intersection of genres like country, folk, Taylor Swift and indie (iykyk) and I love artists like Thomas Rhett, Kelsey Ballerini, The National Parks, NEEDTOBREATHE and of course, the aforementioned Taylor Swift.
Q: What is one thing that you feel strengthened your faith a lot?
A: Reading the Bible. Literal word of God… can’t beat that!
Q: What’s your favourite compliment you’ve ever received?
A: Probably that my hair looks nice today. 😉 JOKING! But seriously my favourite compliment is probably when people tell me things like ‘you’re so kind’ or things along those lines… I know that I’m not perfect (ahem, my blog name) but I like it when people notice things like how I try to be nice.

Q: What are you praying for right now?
A: For God to help me love people better. Also for a few friends who don’t know Jesus.
Q: What is your favourite ice breaker question and what is your answer to that question?
A: We did this one with our new class at the beginning of this year… the question was ‘when you die what do you want to be remembered for’ and my answer would probably be for showing people Jesus’ love.
Q: What is your favourite part of the holiday season? Least favourite part?
A: Hmm, can I have three faves?! Probably eating as a whole family (grandparents and cousins too), playing games with fam and friends, and of course all the different church services. Least favourite part: IT’S COLD.

That’s it for this Q+A, but this was SO fun to do! I hope you loved reading it as much as I enjoyed answering the questions, and I hope you feel like you know me a lil’ better now!! See ya tomorrow for blogmas day 3!!!

Ahh this was so great!! Loved reading your answers!!
