Art Dump + Current Playlist

happy haPPY HAPPY 8 days until Christmas!! Oh my goodness, the holiday season feels likes it’s disapearing so fast! We got done with school for Christmas break yesterday and I am so excited for the next couple of weeks… I have so much fun stuff coming up and what harm could half a month off school do anyone??!

I’m all decorated for Christmas now, but what’s the holiday season without a bit of festive music (or music of any kind for that matter)? I thought it would be fun to share everything I’m currently listening to, but I also recently made a bunch of my playlists on my spotify public so you can check them out if you like!! If not though, keep on reading because I’ll be sharing ton of my current faves!

I think the obvious place to start is Christmas music… I don’t actually listen to a tonnnn of Christmas music, but here’s a few of my 2021 fave festive tunes…

  3. Santa Claus Is Coming to Town by Michael Buble
  4. Mary, Did You Know? by Pentatonix

  6. Christmas Lights by Coldplay
  7. Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee
  8. Misletoe by Justin Bieber
  9. Santa Tell Me by Ariana Grande
  10. Sleigh Ride by The Ronettes

Whilst I love a bit of festive Christmas music, my fam and I also love a bit of Christmas/Advent worship music that refocuses us around the true meaning of Christmas. Here a few of our favourites:

  7. Adore- Live by Chris Tomlin
  8. Emmanuel by Hannah Kerr
  9. Behold The Lamb of God by Andrew Peterson
  10. Angels We Have Heard On High by Phil Wickham

Another (not-in-the-slightest-festive) playlist I’ve been listening to recently is my hammock in the woods playlist:

  2. Beautiful Anyway by Judah & the Lion
  3. All We Ever Knew by The Head And The Heart

  7. Katie Queen of Tennessee by The Apache Ray
  8. Hold You Up by Shane Harper

    • All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (From The Vault)
    • Everything Has Changed (feat. Ed Sheeran)
    • The Last Time (feat. Gary Lightbody of Snowpatrol)
    • Begin Again
  2. Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)
  3. Exile (feat. Bon Iver)
  4. Long Live
  5. Last Kiss
  6. Out Of The Woods
  7. Crazier
  8. Mean

Another playlist I’ve had on repeat is this one; my favourite songs from the background of Dawson’s Creek, all tunes that would definitely feature if my life was a 90’s movie ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. I Don’t Want to Wait by Paula Cole
  3. Getting By by Weekend Excursion
  4. That I Would Be Good by Alanis Morissette
  5. If She Would Stay by Sweetsalt

And finally… my current (/always) favourite country songs…

  1. She Got The Best of Me by Luke Combs
  2. What’s Your Country Song by Thomas Rhett
  3. In Case You Didn’t Know by Brett Young
  4. Buy Dirt by Jordan Davis, Luke Bryan

  10. How Not To by Dan + Shay

That’s just a pinch of what I’m currently listening to, but tell me friend, are there any of these that appear on your playlists? Do you have any recommendations for me?? If not, I’ll see you tomorrow for blogmas day 6!!!

  1. This was so pretty!!! I love the “It’s the most wonderful time of the year” and “White Christmas” ones!

Ooh, and playlists! I’m going to have to check out some of those Taylor Swift songs! I’ve stopped really following her music, because it got to be too mature, shall we say? (That, and her opinions on abortion). But I’m really curious about what she’s been up to. Oh, Last Kiss! I love that one. Ooh, and Out Of The Woods!

Rocking Around The Christmas Tree is one of my favorites too! I. I’m definitely going to look up these Christmas songs…

I think my favorite non-religious Christmas songs this year have been Baby It’s Cold Outside – Michael Buble and Idina Menzel, and Warmer In The Winter – Lindsey Stirling and Trombone Shorty. ๐Ÿ˜.

My favorite religious ones have been Christmas Melody by Clamavi De Profundus, as well as Oh Come Oh Come Immanuel (basically every version).

As always, thank you so much for sharing! ๐Ÿค—
