My Favourite Christmas Movies

(BLOGMAS DAY 6)

Imagine this: fluffiest pj’s, beside the Christmas tree, roaring fire, hot chocolate with marshmallows and cinnamon whipped cream, dog by your feet, watching your favourite Christmas movie. Cosy socks, huge blanket, popcorn and m&m’s… what could better get you in the mood for Christmas?

I love watching movies year round anyway, but here are (in no specific order) a few of my festive faves!!

1) Nativity

Okay so if you’re British you’ll understand why this is at the top of the list (I know I said no specific order, but no other place seemed right for this MASTERPIECE), if you’re not you probably haven’t seen it and need to go do so now!

2) Muppets Christmas Carol

I was so reluctant to watch this one but after my bestie nagged me for AGES I finally gave in and LOVED IT! It’s such a funny interpretation of one of the most timeless Christmas books!

2) Home Alone

This movie is just so funny and so unrealistic but wonerful at the same time, my sisters and I LOVE this one.

4) Murder On The Orient Express

Not sure this is a Christmas movie but it does take place in the snow so technically…

(But it is a GREAT movie)

5) Gilmore Girls, S1E8

This is the first ever Christmas episode on Gilmore Girls, and it is just so much fun, the whole episode is so warm and cosy, it makes Stars Hollow look like the sweetest place to be during the winter!

6)Mirror, Mirror

Again, not a Christmas movie per say, but snowy and cosy, perfect to watch with a fire blazing beside you! My sisters and I have watched this one a ton of times!

7) Glee, S2E10

I’ll admit it… I wasn’t always too impressed with Glee’s Christmas episodes but this one is a masterpiece, so festive! (Oh and if you haven’t watched Glee, you need to… NOW!!)

8) Gilmore Girls, S2E10

Saved the best ’til last: THIS. IS. ONE. OF. MY. FAVOURITE. EPISODES. OF. ANYTHING. EVER!!!! I mean, everything about it in every way, shape and form is completly perfect, this episode is the DEFINITION of Christmas (well, not actually, of course, Jesus is the definition of Christmas but you get the point I’m making haha).

I hope you enjoyed these suggestions, I’m off to binge Christmas movies now, but drop me some recommendations and your favourite festive films below!!

  1. Cinnamon whipped cream?! 🤯 I didn’t know that was a thing!

Ooh, I just watched Muppets A Christmas Carol this year, and I was impressed! I think it’s my favorite version.

Nativity, huh? I’ll have to check it out!

My favorite Christmas movies are A Charlie Brown Christmas, The Man Who Invented Christmas, Elf, It’s A Wonderful Life, and The Santa Clause. All of them are sooo good, and I highly recommend. 😊.

    1. Agh IT IS SO GOOD you totally have to try it! My sister just makes it by adding a pinch of cinnamon and a little bit of powedered sugar to some whipping cream and then whipping it all up in our kitchenaid… and it is so good! You have to give it a go!!

And YES!! Muppets Christmas Carol is SO good, and so funny too! Oh, I’ve been wanting to watch It’s A Wonderful Life for forever now, maybe I’ll have to put that on the list for Christmas break! Thank you for the reccomendations!! 🤗😁😝
