Disclosure: This is NOT a perfect blog.
If you’re here looking for perfect, then know that whatever you find here- it won’t be that.
Why? Well because I’m not a perfect person, I don’t have a perfect life and therefore this isn’t a perfect blog.
In fact, it’s everything but. It’s a blog filled with inspiration and faith and creativity and lifestyle. It’s my bizarre ramblings and peculiar ideas. It’s my artwork and my inspiration. Like I said, it’s everything but perfect.
I’ll explain a bit more in a minute, but first, let me introduce myself.
Hi, hello and welcome! I’m Megan writer of this blog and a curly-haired, British-American teenager living in the UK. I’m a summer lover, washi-tape collector and Starbucks obsessor. I’m a big sister, puppy momma, and sprinkle enthusiast. Most importantly though, I’m a lover and follower of Jesus.
And what I hope, is that my blog will be an outworking of all of that. I hope that through everything you read here, will challenge you or inspire you in some sort of way. I don’t claim to be perfect or particularly brilliant at what I do, but I do know that everything I write here is genuine and heartfelt.
I created this blog because I really believe that there is no such thing as perfect. In this age of social media, I think the idea of ‘perfect’ is often forced onto us. We see influencers and bloggers and YouTubers and social media stars, and look at their lives or their bodies (or at least, what they post of these things) and think to ourselves how perfect they are. And then we try and do things to become more like them. We try their workout challenges so our bodies can look more like theirs. Or copy their daily routine so that we can look more like we have it all together. But we always feel disappointed when these things don’t all work out. We worry about our worth or our beauty, just because we can’t seem to match up to how these people present themselves.
I want to have a blog where I can post whatever I want- without it being perfect. And I want to encourage me and you alike to remember that there really is no such thing as perfect. We can chase after ‘perfect’ all we want, but I believe we will never be fully content- because ‘perfect’ doesn’t exist! Honestly, I think the only way we can truly be satisfied is when we surrender to Jesus and put our hope in him, knowing that what He says about us is so much more powerful than whatever the world may say.
Here you will find all sorts of things- creative lifestyle ideas, faith, inspiration and an abundance of happy things. But remember, nothing will be perfect!
